What is SnapShot
SnapShot basically means 'to take a photograph or capture an image' and that's exactly what many of you have been doing for so long, taking snap shots of people, things, building, landscape and etc.
These days, everyone seems to be able to take photographs or take snap shots. With modern technology, it is now so easy and cheap. But do you really know what is involved in taking photographs? Would you want to be better and smarter in taking your snap shots? Well, this is a section for you, whether you are a regular or just a 'once a blue moon' photographer, or you only have a simple instant camera or a digital camera or a handphone camera, SnapShot is going show you some ideas and together with others like you, we shall learn about photography and take better photographs.
Who is behind SnapShot
The person behind the camera in the SnapShot logo. Recognise me ? Well, it does not matter! Perhaps, it does matter! I guess it's always nice to communicate with someone that you can identify with, anyway there is nothing to hide in SnapShot! Well, I'm Terence and I started to be interested in photography since I was 13. Later on as I went into higher secondary school and saved enough cash, I bought my first SLR camera, by the way SLR stands for Single Lens Reflex, don't understand, never mind, you will find out sooner or later! Btw, at 13, I owned a range finder camera, basically all you need to do is decide the distance of your object and then press the shutter release. From a Yashica FX3 SLR, I upgraded to a Nikon FM2 when I first started working. It was a completely manual camera. I like it as I'm forced to learn how to adjust the shutter speed and aperture to get the best results. Realising that it was getting just too expensive and with the advent of the 'Digital' era, I decided it was time to invest in a Fuji FinePix S602 Zoom which has the look and feel of an SLR camera but in reality it wasn't one, but that was what I could afford then in 2002. After much struggle whether to invest or not to invest, I finally got my first true Digital SLR camera. The model, it is a Nikon and the price, just about the price of a notebook computer!

Here's a photograph I recently captured in Fraser's Hill.
Being a close-up, the Depth-of-Field was very shallow and hence gives you the blurry effect in front and the back of the spider.
You would have realised that I bolded quite a few words, we shall discuss about it more in the next update. Till then, happy clicking!!!
